About Us
The YWCA of the Tonawandas has served the Tonawanda area for over 90 years providing a wide range of services. School age child care at area schools, summer day camp and our enrichment programs for ages two through five provide safe, affordable child care with qualified, trained staff. Our organization offers a diverse schedule of year round programming for your, adults and seniors. Programs include: Tae Kwon Do, parenting classes, support groups, health seminars and much more. We are always responding to the communities' needs for additional classes and services. The Family and Human Services department provides services for women and families that have experienced domestic violence including: Individual and group counseling, advocacy, food pantry, women's clothes closet, support for for the children who wittness violence, supervised visitation, community awareness presentations, holiday assistance programs and income based housing for families escaping violence.

The YWCA USA is a women's membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values. Strengthened by diversity, the YWCA draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership, and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people.
