Organization Overview
About Us

The Wyoming County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (WCSPCA) in Attica, NY provides refuge for cats and dogs that have been surrendered, abandoned or abused.
Our mission is to relieve their suffering and create a community in which animals are respected and valued.
We are a
no-kill shelter that gives each animal individual attention, medical treatment and compassionate daily care until a loving home can be found.
We educate the public about the proper care of pets and work with law enforcement authorities to prevent and respond to cases of animal cruelty.

Who We Are
The Wyoming County SPCA is no kill shelter located on Rt. 98 in Attica. This chapter was first incorporated in 1905, 39 years after the ASPCA was incorporated in New York city. Originally housed in Warsaw and later in Orangeville, the shelter moved to its present location with 52 animals. In the 6 years that the shelter has been located in Attica, over 4200 animals have called the Wyoming County SPCA no-kill shelter home.
The Wyoming County SPCA no kill shelter is totally funded by donations and bequests. There are no federal, state or local tax dollars spent on the operation of the shelter. (stats as of 2/19/08)

We need a shelter that is constructed with the animal's welfare as the highest priority. We would hope to have all our animals on one floor with a separate area for interaction of the adoptors and adoptees.
