Organization Overview
About Us
Wishing Well, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for veterans in need and their families. Wishing Well offers holistic-based veteran-specific services including Operation Warm Hearts and Veterans, Forever Soldiers "At-Ease" Service Center. Soon to be implemented are the emergency/transitional housing and family preservation components of our initiative. Of the nearly 400,000 homeless veterans in the United States each year, about 25%, roughly 100,000, use VA homeless service. That leaves 300,000 to seek assistance from community organizations like Wishing Well and caring individuals like you. It takes a community to manifest life transforming changes. Together lets make a difference "Because Life Matters!"
Who We Are
Wishing Well is an organization that advocates for the elimination of human suffering. We are here to help our veterans get back on track; to find a path to what inspires them and brings them peace. We offer those in need a hand up, and if need be a hand out, until they have sufficient resources and are confident enough to do for themselves. In the meanwhile, we educate and prepare them in ways necessary to restore their dignity, empower them and keep them moving forward.
Our Organization's Mission
Eradicate homelessness; promote healing; give hope; restore dignity; and add value to the lives of veterans in need.
Who We Serve
Homeless and traumatized veterans and their families, including those at risk of becoming homeless.
Our Programs
* Operation Warm Hearts: bringing as much warmth and comfort to the area’s homeless veterans as possible through distribution of sleeping bags, blankets, coats, scarves and other winter gear; and information kits.

* Veterans, Forever Soldiers "At-Ease" Service Center: day drop-in facility that will provide homeless veterans, at-risk veterans with an array of supportive services such as crisis intervention counseling and peer support, food pantry/warm meal, personal hygiene kits and more.

Soon to be implemented:
* Mission HOME, USA : provides supportive services and emergency/transition housing to homeless veterans and veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The passion of our work is encompassed in our acronym H.O.M.E. - Helpful Opportunities for Meaningful Existence.

* Preserving the Veteran Family (PVF) : provides a family-centered approach to better serve our veterans. PVF focuses on empowering, self-strengthening and coping techniques for the entire veteran family.
