Third New Hope Baptist Church is dedicated to providing a diverse Ministry community that will assist both believers and non-believers in developing close, intimate relationships with God.

We are a Christian community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Community Food Bank Ministry

Provides boxes of food once a month to families in need.

Better Way (Prison Ministry)
Coordinator: Minister David L. Jefferson
This ministry is designed to meet the spiritual needs of Correctional Facility Residents, their families, and those victimized by crime. Our belief that anyone legally labeled as a "criminal" is not beyond the reach of our Saviour, Jesus Christ is based upon Biblical teachings that value the dignity and worth of every person despite the severity of wrongful or unlawful acts. We seek to equip and train our church to embrace and share the responsibility for practical prevention, In-Prison Ministries, and Community re-entry programs.

Connected Men (Men's Ministry)

Establishes support systems for men promoting fellowship, support for the Pastor, and stewardship over the church, family and community.

Sacred Sisters (Women's Ministry)

S.O.L.E. Ministry (Single Ministry)

Ministers holistically to the needs of individuals (single or married) through encouragement, fellowship and information sharing.

Marriage Enrichment (Marriage Ministry)
Coordinator: Eric & La Vera Rayford
Seeks to strengthen the marital relationship through understanding Biblical principles and planning fellowship activities for couples.

Golden Circle (Seniors Ministry)
Coordinator: Curtisstine Young
Provides enrichment and spiritual development for our seniors citizens through recreational, social and physical activities.

Praise Dancers: You are invited to join our Praise Dance ministry on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30 PM. Great things are planned for 2008!
Nurses' Ministry: When I was hungry, you did not feed me… The Nurses' Ministry is sponsoring a monthly food drive for those in need. Any non-perishable items can be dropped off in the back of the sanctuary in the Nurses' room. Thank you for your support.

IM2AD (I.M.M.A.D.) Intellectual Minds Mastering Academic Disciplines Tutoring Ministry: Students grades 5-12 from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:45 PM and by appointment only on Thursdays.
Ladies of Virtue (L.O.V.) an all girls mentoring program meets 2nd Saturdays each month from 10:00 AM-12 Noon. HOPE: a boys ands girls mentoring program meets the 4th Saturdays each month from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Mentoring Training Orientation for all adults interested in mentoring-November 10th from 10:00 AM-12 Noon.
Security Ministry: Men and Women of TNH, we need your eyes and ears. Volunteer to be a part of the Security Ministry today. Meetings are held every 2nd Saturday at 5:00 PM. See Robbie Marshall for more information.

Ministry of Christian Education Bible to Life- 2007
"ARMED FOR BATTLE "
New Class Break-out Sessions began Wednesday, October 17th
Our biblical studies will come from the Book of Acts led by Minister Gerald Miller. Growing as a Christian will be lead by Deacon Kevin Davis. Our Life Application class will be led by Minister Jakki Nelson will continue the "Spirit of Excellence" studies.
Learning for Life Sunday School for adult learners is held each Sunday @ 9:00 AM in My Sister's Place. The class will meet for 45 minutes each Sunday morning. We will begin with a study of God's work in creating humanity.

TNH members of all ages who are interested in improving their overall health status are asked to commit to Team TNH. Leadership Profile
Biography of Pastor E. L. Branch

Pastor, community advocate, humanitarian, author, lecturer, singer and musician--E. L. Branch is God's visionary for Third New Hope Baptist Church located in Detroit, Michigan.
Serving as pastor since 1977, his consistent obedience to God has taken the Third New Hope congregation from glory to glory. The
membership has grown from 20 to well over 3000 and counting. During these years, Pastor Branch's uncompromising and bold teaching of God's Word has changed the lives of people both at Third New Hope and around the world.

Educationally, Pastor Branch has earned a Master's of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity Degree in Religious Studies from the Ashland Theological Seminary, where he presently continues his studies toward a Doctor of Ministries degree. Also, he has been awarded several honorary doctorate degrees from noted bible colleges and theological centers.

Pastor Branch has achieved many triumphs on local, national and international levels. He served as the past president of the Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention as well as the Council of Baptist Pastors & Vicinity.

He is Director and founder of the Heritage Center for African American Religious Studies and serves as an Adjunct Professor for the Ashland Theological Seminary. He is an active participant on numerous Boards of Directors, including the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. where he gives leadership within the Ecumenical Commission. Pastor Branch is the past International President of the Kingdom Building Pastors International.

Staying focused on his mission, Pastor Branch profoundly lives by and proclaims the words of Luke, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he hath anointed me to preach the gospel…" St. Luke 4:18

He is considered to be a "New Testament Scholar" among his colleagues in the ministry. He has preached and lectured at hundreds of churches, conventions, and conferences across the nation and beyond.

His travels include Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Greece, Zimbabwe, South Africa, England, France, Italy, Australia and the Caribbean. Pastor Branch's powerful messages are available in a plethora of audio series. Known for his dynamic preaching and practical teaching styles, his vibrant sermons are intense and always relevant. He communicates the message of Christ with sincerity and simplicity.

Many are blessed through the ministry of Pastor Branch and generations are changed because of his passion for mentoring youth, women and ministers.

Through his ministry, people are discovering their destinies. He has received numerous awards for his community service and religious leadership.

Because of the favor on his life, Pastor Branch has close relationships with key leaders in the
religious and political arenas; consequently, this humble servant is advancing the Kingdom of God in a whole new way. This prophet-preacher is "…committed to making the wounded whole!"
