About Us
Rebuilding Together’s Veterans Housing Initiative was created to meet the growing needs of veterans from past and present wars. The program serves to fill gaps in housing modifications and repair services that retired and active servicemen and women struggle to meet. Working in partnership with corporate sponsors,Rebuilding Together’s Veterans Housing Initiative strives to provide safe and accessible housing for all low-income veterans.
Rebuilding Together has built a successful organization with the ability to mobilize our volunteers, develop relationships in the community, and meet the needs of service recipients. Our affiliates provide services in cities and towns across the country and we are recognized as national experts in home repairs and modifications. The service is provided at no cost to the veterans and their families.
Who We Are
Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading organization bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners by providing free repair services for those with the greatest need. Low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly, displaced or disabled, and families with children are most at risk. Rebuilding Together responds to their needs through four specific practice areas: Safe & Healthy Homes, Disaster Recovery and Reconstruction, Veterans Housing, and National Rebuilding Day ensure that homeowners live in safe, warm and dry homes.
