Supporting local nonprofit organizations in our communities is at the heart of good citizenship and helps create vibrant communities. We created the Businesses Who Care and the People Who Care programs to provide caring businesses and individuals with a unique, powerful and cost-effective way to help local nonprofits extend their message, better serve existing supporters and attract more donations.

When you become a Business Who cares or Person Who Cares Sponsor, you underwrite the annual cost of a Premium MTDN Membership for one or more nonprofits. As a Business Who Cares or Person Who Cares, you are giving your sponsored nonprofit(s) upgraded Web technology, additional training and increased exposure so they can literally learn how to “feed themselves for life.”

As a Business Who Cares, your support also enhances your company's image in the community, increases employee job satisfaction and may even attract new customers. As a Person Who Cares Sponsor, you and your family have the satisfaction that your helping a nonprofit make a bigger difference in your community.

What the Nonprofit Gets with Their Annual Premium Membership

An Annual Premium Membership provides your sponsored nonprofit organization with a more powerful set of tools, additional training and additional capacity to help them extend their message and optimize their online fundraising. It includes:

  1. Expanded Wish Page capacity to 50 Wish Profile Pages for added exposure and increased donations.
  2. Premium Video Storage - up to 5 gigabytes of video storage - to give the Nonprofits plenty of space for their Wish and Progress videos.
  3. Premium Access to the MTDN Learning Center for Technology and Marketing Courses (Coming Soon).
  4. Advanced Web Analytics to help them understand their MTDN visitor and donor traffic (Coming Soon).
  5. Advanced Viral Video Marketing tool to help you use Video to tell their "Wish Stories" in more places (Coming Soon).

What You Get in Return

In return for your sponsorship you will:

  1. Feel good knowing that you’re helping your nonprofit provide more services because they will have access to more Web technology, training and traffic.
  2. View the results your sponsorship has helped the nonprofit achieve.
  3. Be able to develop a stronger relationship with the nonprofit for a minimal time commitment.
  4. Receive a "sponsorship acknowledge" ad on your sponsored nonprofit’s Profile page and on each of their Wish pages, which all link back to your MTDN Profile page.
  5. Receive a link to your own business website from your MTDN Profile page.
  6. Have the ability to offer a coupon to visitors to your MTDN Profile page (This applies to Businesses Who Care only).

Businesses Who Care: Sponsorship Investment

Sponsoring a nonprofit through MTDN is one of the most cost effective ways to show your support and help make a difference for a nonprofit in your community. A Business Who Cares Sponsorship is an annual Sponsorship regualrly priced at only $1200 per year.

During our "Beta" phase, we are offering the Business Who Cares Sponsorship for $600 for the first year. This is a limited-time 50% discount for the annual Sponsorship.

  • Payment Option #1: One simple annual payment of only $540 (you save an additonal 10% to the "Beta Pre-launch" discount for one annual payment)
  • Payment Option #2: Twelve (12) monthly payments of $49.98 per month (regualr price $99.95 per month) automatically billed to your credit card.

Note: In some cases, it may take your sponsored nonprofit some time to learn how to optimize their use of the MTDN technology, tools and training your sponsorship provides them.


People Who Care: Sponsorship Investment

Sponsoring a nonprofit through MTDN is one of the most cost effective ways to show your support and help make a difference for a nonprofit in your community. A Person Who Cares Sponsorship is an annual sponsorship regularly priced at only $960 per year.

During our "Beta" phase, we are offering the People Who Care Sponsorship for $480 for the first year. This is a limited-time 50% discount for the annual Sponsorship.

  • Payment Option #1: One simple annual payment of only $432 (you save an additonal 10% to the "Beta Pre-launch" discount for one annual payment)
  • Payment Option #2: Twelve (12) monthly payments of $39.98 per month (regualr price $79.95 per month) automatically billed to your credit card.

How to Sponsor a Nonprofit: 4 Simple Steps

Our simple, automated process makes it easy to sponsor your favorite nonprofit.

Sponsoring a nonprofit means that you’ll be underwriting that nonprofit's upgraded MTDN Membership from a FREE Basic Membership to a PREMIUM Membership for a full year. The nonprofit you want to sponsor must already be a MTDN Basic Member. However, it's no problem if you want to sponsor a nonprofit that currently isn't a MTDN member; just ask them to join MTDN as a FREE Basic Member (make sure to remind them they need to check the "Sponsor Our Nonprofit" option in the "Sponsorship" section of their My Account home page once they’ve completed their Profile and set up their Direct Donation System).

Step 1 - Choose and Contact a Nonprofit to Sponsor

  1. Log into your MTDN account
  2. Go to the Profile page of the nonprofit and click on the SPONSOR OUR NONPROFIT button located under their image in their Profile ID box on the upper left side of the page.
  3. Click the SPONSOR OUR NONPROFIT button. This will take you to the SPONSORSHIP INVITATION page where you can send the Nonprofit an invitation.

Step 2 - The Nonprofit Decides if Your Sponsorship is the Right Match

  1. For an MTDN sponsorship to work both the nonprofit and the prospective sponsor must agree to the sponsorship.
  2. When the nonprofit receives your Sponsorship Invitation they have 14 days to Accept or Decline. Since most nonprofits have a set of criteria they use to decide the best matches for their organizations, we encourage them in the same way we encourage you, to research their sponsors.
  3. O3. Once the nonprofit has accepted your Sponsorship Invitation, you will receive a "Sponsorship Accepted" message from them in your Message Center located in your My Account home page (if the nonprofit declines your Sponsorship Invitation, you will receive a "Sponsorship Declined" message in your Message Center).

Step 3 - Pay for Your Sponsorship Investment

  1. The SPONSORSHIP ACCEPTED message will contain a link that will take you to the MTDN Payment Center.
  2. For your convenience, the Payment Center allows you two options for payment, one single payment in full or 12 monthly payments
  3. After your payment is completed, you can create a SPONSORSHIP AD that can be text or a graphic that will appear on your nonprofit’s Profile page and also on every one of their Wish pages.

Sponsorship Acknowledgment Ad Option # 1 – Display Ad

If you choose the Display Ad option, you will need to upload a jpeg image (the jpeg image must be exactly 125 pixels x 125 pixels to work in the MTDN system) which will be displayed on the nonprofit's Profile page and on each of their Wish pages. The image is linked back to your Profile page.

Sponsorship Acknowledgment Ad Option #2 - Text Ad

If you choose the Text Ad option, you can build a Google-type text ad of up to 100 characters. There is a link in the Text Ad back to your Business Profile page.

Businesses Who Care - Business Coupon

When you become a Business Who Cares Sponsor, you can have a coupon linked from your Business Profile. Click on the "Ad/Coupon Creator" tab in your Sponsorship Center to upload your coupon. Your coupon will appear as a link under your Profile ID Box where Members can open it to print, after you have uploaded it into the system. Your coupon must be 500 x 250 pixels and in PDF format only.
