About Us
The Just Like My Child Foundation alleviates the suffering of women, children, and families in rural Uganda. We use an approach of deep development, which means empowering communities, village by village, to move towards self-reliance by creating their own long-term solutions to healthcare, education and microenterprise.
Who We Serve
The Just Like My Child Foundation works in the three-district area of Luwero, Nakasongola and Nakaseke in rural Uganda, home to 600,000 residents.
What Sets Us Apart
The Just Like My Child Foundation employs a unique and efficient outreach approach, utilizing a strategy of alliances with existing indigenous organizations and facilities that have a respected and broad reach into large populations. To ensure the most effective and long-lasting change, we work directly with leaders in the community to enhance leadership capacity and motivate citizens towards self-reliance and empowerment that will sustain the community long after we’re gone.
