A Businesses Who Care National Sponsor

Overview
About Me:
Eternally optimistic, a believer that the best time to be alive is right now. Waking up with a huge smile just about every morning (after all I really am Human ? ); excited to participate in what interesting things the world will show me today. Having never been bored in my life, I sometimes think that the “label” of being “easily amused” was meant specifically for me, because I seem to find value or interest in everything that I happen to be around. I’m a believer in, and starting traditions, in creating the right traditions, traditions that guide families down the path of optimism, respect and integrity. Here are two I think could change the world if everyone chose to share them, enjoy: 1) Ever since my kids started school, I have had the pleasure of dropping them off every morning, 9 years now. And every morning as I drop them off, I ask all three of them the same question; “What are we going to do today” and in unison they all reply “Make Good Choices” and that is how they start their day, by promising their Dad that they will make good choices. So as those “not so good choices” present themselves in life, the first thing my children will think about is, “I told my dad that I would make good choices, so maybe I should rethink what I am about to do”. Kids are still going to make questionable choices at times, because their kids. However, this tradition will have a profound effect on their decision making as they take the courses and lessons of Life. The start of the day when the mind is fresh is the best time to start plant the seeds of a tradition, but at night, right before you go to sleep is the next best time to plant another seed, because that’s when the subconscious mind takes over and processes the images of the day. The worse thing to do with your kids is watch some inappropriate prime time TV show or even worse the NEWS, because as my mentor Robert Helms has taught me, the last thing you or your kids want to see before they go to sleep is violence, dishonestly, immoral acts, murder and death. If those are the last images that we see before we fall asleep, then our subconscious mind will spend all night processing those images creating a much “darker” perception of the world when we wake up... Yuck !. 2) So instead start a tradition like this; Every night before my kids go to sleep I scratch their backs while we take about what was important “to them” that day. Then right before I kiss them goodnight, I tell them that they are a “Very” good boy or girl and that I am very “Proud” to be their Dad……Imagine what world would be like in 50 years if every parent started just those two traditions.
