About Us
MyTexasWeather.com was established to fill in a void across Texas... easy, accessible, and interactive weather information to the general public and law enforcement officials. Our mission is to “provide up-to-date forecasts and educational weather information in order to improve the safety and well-being of citizens in hazardous weather situations.” Many states do have access to up-to-the minute weather; the state of Texas does not – until now. By improving the transfer of information and/or communication regarding the weather, a universal awareness of nature’s fury is enhanced.
As a result, our focus will not be limited to forecasting, but also personalized meteorological analysis, safety information, and posted schedule information regarding weather seminars statewide. A forum has been included to allow for communication and interaction between all levels of knowledge and status in a friendly and hospitable atmosphere.
Leadership Profile
Anthony Torres joined the MyTexasWeather team as Lead Forecaster in 2007. Since then, he has provided South-Central Texas with leading and accurate weather information ranging from tropical storms and hurricanes, to severe storms, winter storms, droughts, heatwaves, and wildfires.
