Organization Overview
About Us
Friends of Lewis County Animal Shelter (FOLCAS) is a 501 (c)(3)non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the animals, large and small, in Lewis County. Located in Chehalis, Washington, FOLCAS was formed in 2003 by animal lovers and supporters of Lewis County Animal Shelter (LCAS). FOLCAS's primary goal is to aid the Lewis County Animal Shelter in caring for the animals it houses and assist in finding homes for as many animals as possible through adoption and outreach programs. It is also our goal to promote responsible pet ownership in Lewis County by educating the community on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We also have a disaster response team that will respond to animal emergencies in the state of Washington. FOLCAS is currently in the process of building a no-kill adoption center and low cost spay/neuter clinic that will work hand in hand with the LCAS.
