About Us
Founded in 2006 by actor Dwayne Johnson, The Rock Foundation is a tax-exempt, public non-profit organization under 501 (c ) (3 ). Our mission is to EDUCATE, EMPOWER and ENRICH the lives of children worldwide. The Rock Foundation achieves its mission through its youth physical fitness and obesity prevention program and its educational worldwide giving program.
The Rock Foundation's physical fitness and obesity prevention program is designed to improve the health and build the self-esteem of children; educating children about healthy eating, nutrition and the life benefits of physical exercise. The program emphasizes the importance of goal-setting, overcoming obstacles, and realizing accomplishments.
The Rock Foundation's global giving initiative educates American school children about the issues facing their peers in developing countries. The program promotes cultural awareness and encourages students to make a difference through the means of various creative 'giving' projects for the benefit of their international counterparts. Our educational program empowers both American school children and their international peers by reducing barriers that affect learning and building confidence and self-esteem in order to achieve educational goals.

Our Programs
The Rock’s Global Toy Chest: The Rock’s Global Toy Chest benefits children in developing countries. Toys, basic necessity items (clothing, shoes, blankets), athletic equipment, and school supplies are shipped to schools and communities in developing countries selected by The Rock Foundation. The program thrives on generous in-kind, corporate and private donations. Contributions to this program make a tremendous impact in the lives of these children by building their confidence and self-esteem and creating hope. This program works closely with PROJECT KNAPSAK, a new educational program that The Rock Foundation supports.
Project Knapsack - educates American school children about the issues facing their peers in developing countries. The program promotes cultural awareness and encourages students to make a difference through the means of various creative 'giving' projects for the benefit of their international counterparts. This educational program empowers both American school children and their international peers by reducing barriers that affect learning and building confidence and self-esteem in order to achieve educational goals. With the support of The Rock Foundation, American school children adopt a class of their peers in a developing country, equip the class with backpacks filled with new school supplies and participate in a pen pal exchange program.
National Children’s Fitness Challenge: The Rock Foundation is an advocate for physical fitness. We believe that childhood fitness routines are not only imperative for curbing childhood obesity, but that an active lifestyle builds self-confidence and teaches children the important life lessons of setting goals, facing challenges, overcoming obstacles, and realizing accomplishments. National Children’s Fitness Challenge is an obstacle course race. A series of races are conducted regionally throughout the year culminating with the final National Challenge Series.
