Issue(s) I am Passionate About
Any issue that I see as an issue of injustice rings particularly true with me. Whether its getting medication to people who can't afford it to save their lives, or providing education to those who are usually ignored by the system, human rights issues, or standing up for people who can't stand up for themselves, I speak out fervently and devote myself to the issue.

My college experience was fully enriched by my experience with Dance Marathon, the largest student-run philanthropy on the West Coast. I ran this 100 person organization, and together we united the school to raise almost $1 million in six years for pediatric AIDS. I lived, slept, and breathed Dance Marathon- classes came in between everything else ;)

Title : Development Associate - Fundraising, grantwriting, marketing, and PR
Green Dot Public Schools is revolutionizing public education in Los Angeles. We are creating systemic change that is forcing LAUSD to reform. While they are only graduation 48% of their students, and only sending a mere 11% of them to college, Green Dot is taking the same students and graduating 95% of them, and sending over 70% to college. Not only are our schools outperforming the district schools, we are trying to work with the district to help them improve their own education model so that all high school students in Los Angeles can be eligible for college in the future.
